抽象と具象の境界線をすくい取りながら、動的な死と静的な生を描いた。
抽象性と偶然性を用いて、花や植物の持つ必然的具体に向かい合い、その概念だけを定着させようとするシリーズ作品。水墨画の古典的な筆勢と抽象画の技法を組み合わせて制作している。
具体の象徴として入れた花は、何の花でもなく、ただ花に見える概念としての花である。
偶然性の象徴である線を意図的に配置していことで、具体を想起させる偶然の集積を目指した。
重力と抽象は表裏一体である。重力を感じる抽象は、成熟した植物の瑞々しさに溢れている。抽象を明確な軸線の元で立ち上げると、そこに生命力に満ち溢れた方向性が生まれる。儚げな集積によって生まれる方向性は、生命の躍動である。
